Filip Iversen, Cha Cha Cha

"Hi everyone, my name is Filip Iversen and I'm going to pitch a story called Cha Cha Cha written by Ko Eto that I would gladly end up as a director with.

The story is about Miho who is preparing a birthday party for her husband together with their daughter Asuka. Hiro, the dad is comming home earlier from work then he thought and happens to see the preparing. He decides to leave immediately in order to not destroy the surprise. He's going for a long walk through the town and appears to met some of his friends outside a pub. After a long discussion he follows them in there, and Miho and the daughter catches the sight of him there and in order of that she decides to cancel the surprise party.

I've chosed to wanna direct this story because I feel very comfortable with this kind of movies, and my instinct says that I can get the result to another height than another person would because of my experience of their feelings. It actually describes Sweden very well; fear, anxiety, anger, meshed with the love to your family.

It's a very realistic movie, at least for me, and it's definetely a drama. A movie that I would gladly recommend for everyone because it got one clear message, "the family is the most important thing we have and we have to take care about it, but at the same time be able to live our life as humans." And with that I mean to give some time for yourself and to spend som qualitytime with persons outside your family. We got that represented from two different angles here. We got it from Hiro who is coming home and happens to see the preparing, but leaves quickly, the last thing he wants is to destroy his wonderful wifes surprise. He comes to a pub during his walk and mets some of his friends that wants him to go in for a drink with them as I said earlier. He says no and tries to clarify that he has to be home in town. Unfortunately the friends comes up with the argument "c'mon mate, you got plenty of time", and then it's just so human to say "okay then", and so he does.

We also got it represented from Miho that we can see from her behaviors. She is feeling betrayed, passed by her back, her lovely husband have been cheated on her. And not only on her, even their lovely daughter by lying about that he was going to work late but "in fact" just wanted time to "party" with his friends. At least that's what it seems to her.

And this is EXACTLY what we call life is all about. It's about creating faith and trust for eachother, and as in Hiro's angle here, be able to be there for her friends at the same time. One task god one day gave us when he created us is just to keep a good balance between this.

No one of them says anything to eachother and no one dares to say that the have whitnessed something they weren't supposed to see. And this might be a lesson for them in the future. Cause if someone just had admit or spoked to the other about what they saw the problem would be solved much earlier. Honesty is always the best.

This is a fiction movie that is supposed to be set in the past, and I'll show this by using modern techniques, but playing with the colors on the frames to make it look a bit like old-fashioned. This is because I think these kinds of movies describes something to us, and we will look at it in a narrative way as it describes something from the past, in other words some situation that already have occured and not maybe will. We have been learning from peoples mistakes for thousand of years, so why not continue now? I will show you some pictures to clarify what I mean about the colors:

As actors I havn't actually thought of any particular. The only thing that matters, and that's really important is that it's not any particular famous peoples who'll act. This is because I want the audience to feel that this can actually happen to anyone and not only to famous peoples who stands in a role over humanity. We might win more audience with famous actors, because of their fans and stuff like that, but we wont get anything other important out of it, and the message that I want to give wont be reached in the way I want it to be.

If we succeed doing this movie I think the audience will leave and hopefully react different in this kind of situations. Don't get through your days with just impulsive decisions. Plan your days to reach the best success.

My name is Filip Iversen, thank you for listening to me."
